Program Overview:
Welcome to the Oregon City School District Early Learning Center. Our program is committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and quality care for children ages 3 through 5 years (or when they enter kindergarten).
Our program is staffed with teachers who meet the qualifications for Lead Teacher and Teacher’s Assistant as determined by the Oregon Department of Education Early Learning Division. We have degreed teachers and staff who have backgrounds in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, and other related experiences. Our teachers continue to expand their education and training in the Core Body of Knowledge as outlined in Oregon’s Early Learning and Kindergarten Guidelines.
Our mission is to provide high-quality programs that integrate the educational, emotional, physical, and social needs of each child. We will provide a nurturing child-centered environment that will meet the interests, ages, and developmental needs of the children in our programs. In doing this, we commit to equitable learning opportunities for all children, respecting the diversity in children and families while honoring the rights and responsibilities of the family unit.
Admission & Enrollment
Oregon City Early Learning Center Programs accept children of faculty, staff, and students as well as children from the community and its surrounding areas. Enrollment will be accepted in the order received and as space is available. Factors such as the age of the child will be used to determine enrollment for the year. Children remain on the waitlist until enrolled or removed from the list by parent request or decline of enrollment opportunity by a parent. The signed current immunization record must be on file before the child attends the program.
Non-Discrimination Statement
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1072, Section 504 of the Vocational Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Oregon City ECE Center does not discriminate on the basis of disability, gender, race, color, religion, or national origin in its educational programs, activities, admission procedures, or employment practices. Children with disabilities are welcome in our center.
Reasonable Accommodations
Upon enrollment, parents are asked to provide information regarding special needs and to identify the Child’s Service Coordinator if the child currently has an IFSP or is receiving Early Intervention. This information ensures that we can meet the needs of the child with proper support.
